Suzhou Tea Expo (苏州茶博会) is held annually in Suzhou. Guided by the core philosophy of “sharing tea, discussing tea matters, and promoting culture together,” the Suzhou Tea Expo serves as a comprehensive platform integrating various segments of the tea industry chain, including development, supply, management, and sales. It also combines functions of cultural heritage and artistic appreciation, making it a unified communication platform.
Expo Overview: The Suzhou Tea Expo is held annually in Suzhou, guided by the core philosophy of “sharing tea, discussing tea matters, and promoting culture together.” It consolidates the tea industry and related sectors, constructing a relatively complete tea culture industry chain. This not only facilitates the consumption needs of tea enthusiasts and ordinary consumers but also provides a broad platform for numerous businesses in the tea and related industries to showcase their brands, promote products, and facilitate communication. It has now become an annual grand event in the tea industry radiating throughout the East China market with Suzhou as its center.
Since its inaugural event in November 2012, the Suzhou Tea Expo has been held regularly every year. The exhibition showcases various types of teas, recycled teas, tea ware products, tea distribution, tea crafts, tea brewing water, tea processing, tea packaging, tea sales, and a wide variety of related exhibits such as root carvings, aloeswood, incense utensils, calligraphy, and painting, which are highly favored by tea connoisseurs. Exhibitors include well-known brands in the industry, original manufacturers, regional agents, chain operations, and franchise enterprises. Additionally, the tea culture stage promotes tea culture to the public through interactive activities such as tea tasting, purple clay appreciation, incense path performances, and tea ceremony demonstrations, making tea culture accessible and popular among the masses.

Schedule: The 2016 Suzhou International Tea Expo was held from May 27 to 30 at the Suzhou International Expo Center. Venue hours were from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.

In 2013, the “2013 China (Suzhou) International Tea Expo and Purple Clay Art Exhibition,” lasting for 4 days, was successfully held at Suzhou International Expo Center. It aimed to establish the Suzhou Tea Expo as the most influential professional tea expo in East China, continuously providing a new platform for in-depth communication and transactions among tea enterprises and merchants, accelerating the optimization and upgrading of China’s tea industry chain, and promoting the sustainable and healthy development of China’s tea industry. This edition of the Suzhou Tea Expo saw a 35% increase in scale compared to the previous one, reflecting the positive outcomes of the previous expo. The recruitment for exhibitors typically concludes approximately three months after the project starts. The purple clay art exhibition area received significant acclaim from many national-level craftsmen.
