Long Street Banquet or Long Dragon Banquet originated from Yuanyang County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Every February, local people would celebrate Angmatu Festival in accordance with the customs of the Hani people. During the festival more than 300 families in the village would prepare banquet of 300 tables. Villagers and tourists from other places may sit down to taste Hani food while enjoying songs and dances by the Hani people. Let’s start a tour for tasting ethnic food, and experience ethnic culture.

Day 1 Kunming Arrival
Sightseeing and Activities: the Green Lake

You’ll begin your journey to the diverse and captivating Yunnan province from the capital city, Kunming. It is also known as “Spring City”. Upon arrival at the Kunming International Airport, you will meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel.
You will take a leisurely stroll along the Green Lake, a charming area of tea houses and small boutiques selling handicrafts and beautiful local paintings.
Day 2 Kunming-Stone Forest-Yuanyang
Sightseeing and Activities: the Stone Forest, Mile Giant Buddha, Malipo Miao Ethnic Village
Accommodation: Yuanyang

We will drive 86 km to the Stone Forest. An old local saying says that “If you have visited Kunming without seeing the Stone Forest, you have wasted your time.” Truly, the Stone Forest is one of the most popular attractions of Yunnan.
Then drive to Mile, you will climb the steps to a temple on the mountain top, in which you will see the giant golden statue of Mile Giant Buddha. There are beautiful temples, parks, and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. In this region, you can see a lot of grapes grown, and it is here that the famous wine “Yunnan Dry Red Wine” is produced.
Continue the driving to Yuanyang via Kaiyuan and Gejiu, you will visit Malipo Miao Ethnic Village one the way. We will drive through the area of Yi people in the mountain and Dai people in the Red River valley where they grow banana and tropical fruits.
Yuanyang Rice Terrace is a self sustaining ecosystem. During winter to early spring, the entire field is irrigated with spring water from the forest above to rejuvenate and getting prepared for the next season. The Hani people have repeated this for more than a thousand years. There is only one harvest in a year for the Yuanyang Rice Terrace, and the growing season is from March to Oct./Nov. every year.
Day 3 Yuanyang-Panzhihua-Lvchun
Sightseeing and Activities: sunrise view of Duoyishu Rice Terraces, Long Street Banquet

This day, you have a full day to visit Rice Terrace. These rice terraces -carved out of the mountainsides by generations of Hani people- are said to be among the most magnificent in the world.
Get up early in the morning to watch the sunrise at Duoyishu Rice Terrace and then visit the local Hani and Yi people. During the day you will visit different areas of the huge valley to see the amazing engineering and beautiful formations of the terraces.
Duoyishu Rice terrace in Yuanyang is one of the best places to photograph in Yunnan. The Sea of cloud and the water field rice terrace are unique during winter and early spring. As the sun rises, the terraces come alive with the sky’s reflection. In the winter, the fields are irrigated in order to plow and plant for the new season. The rising sun creates an amazing reflection off the water in the terraces.
In the afternoon, you will head for Lvchun County via Laomeng Town. If you are lucky enough, you will visit the Laomeng ethnic market and Bazaar happens every Sunday. Laomeng Bazaar holds the most flamboyant market every Sunday. You can see people from 6 different ethnic minorities, with women and children dressing up in colorful dresses.
Arrive in Lvchun County in the late afternoon, then you will enjoy the Long Street Banquet Festival. You will be warm welcomed by Hani people with colorful dress along the streets, and enjoy the original ecological ethnic performance of Hani People at night.
Day 4 Lvchun
Sightseeing and Activities: Long Dragon Banquet Festival Celebration, Bonfire Party

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
After breakfast, enjoy the sacrifice activity of the Long Dragon Banquet Festival in Lvchun County. After lunch, you will step into the Hani ethnic village and join in the folk activities with Hani people such as Swing, Wrestling, dance etc. The Long-Dragon Banquet starts at noon with the thundering of drums and gongs, you will have a special dinner with Hani people. Banquet starts from offering dishes to the elders, who taste them first. Then, people take their seats and enjoy a feast of more than 1,000 dishes.
Finally, enjoy the Bonfire Party with local people in the Center Garden of Lvchun County from 22:30 at night.
Day 5 Lvchun-Panzhihua-Yuanyang-Jianshui
Sightseeing and Activities:Laohuzui Rice Terraces, Mengnong Chieftain Palace, Jianshui Ancient Town, Zhu Family Garden, Confucius Temple

After breakfast, drive around 5 hours to Jianshui, via Yuanyang and Gejiu. Visit Laohuzui Rice Terraces, and Mengnong Chieftain Palace in Panzhihua Township. The scenery is very nice along the rice terraces in the mountain.
Arrive in Jianshui Ancient Town in the afternoon, pay a visit to Jianshui Ancient Town, Zhu Family Garden and Confucius Temple. Explore the famous Confucius Temple with its interesting history. Confucius was born in Shandong province 2,500 years ago and taught more than 3,000 students in his lifetime, among them 72 were outstanding. He is the greatest teacher in China’s history and has worldwide influence.
Jianshui is a state historic and cultural city. The climatic condition here is pleasant, neither hot in summer nor cold in winter. Moreover, it is one of the earliest developed cities in south Yunnan that enjoys the fame of being an ancient cultural city and important gateway.
Day 6 Jianshui-Kunming
Sightseeing and Activities: Zhang Family Garden in Tuanshan Village, Double Dragon Bridge, Xingmeng Mongolian Village, Green Lake Park

In the morning, drive to Tuanshan Village about 15 KM away from Jianshui Ancient Town, visit the Zhang Family Garden, the ancient houses and the Double Dragon Bridge. Visit Tunshan village with hundred-year-old houses built by the Zhang family. In the village, you will see the different standards of houses built by rich and poor families, and also the family temple that plays an important role for education, family history, and Chinese culture.
After lunch, on the way back to Kunming, you will visit Xingmeng Mongolia Village in Tonghai County of Yuxi City. It is the one and only Mongolia village in Yunnan. On arrival Kunming, You will stroll around the Green Lake Park in the late afternoon.
Day 7 Kunming Departure
