Introduction
Wulongtan Village in Tuguan Town, Lufeng County, has been recognized as one of the first model villages for livability, business, and beauty by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Rural Revitalization, Natural Resources, Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Culture and Tourism. It is situated in the southeastern part of Lufeng, southwest of Tuguan, approximately 74 kilometers from Kunming, 109 kilometers from Chuxiong, 32 kilometers from Lufeng, and 11 kilometers from Tuguan. The village covers an area of about 2.8 square kilometers with an altitude of 1980 meters. It enjoys a subtropical monsoon climate with excellent sunlight conditions, averaging 2555 hours of sunshine annually. The average annual temperature is 16.5 degrees Celsius, with minimal daily temperature variations. Annual average rainfall ranges from 800 to 950 millimeters, and the forest coverage rate is 82%. In December 2021, Wulongtan was designated as a national AAAA-level scenic area.
