Xiaoshama Village, part of Shama Administrative Village, Xiangyang Township, Luxi County (泸西县向阳乡沙马村委会), lies in the mountain heartland at an altitude of 2,120 m. With an annual average temperature of 14°C and rainfall of 957 mm, it is a typical highland climate zone.
In 2018, due to its rich Bai Yi (白彝) culture, the village was listed among China’s Traditional Villages.
