Yonghe Border Port (永和口岸) is located at the 167th Border Monument (界碑) on the China-Myanmar border, forming a unique “One Mountain, Two Countries” border landscape. The monument is split by the central line, marking the boundary between China and Myanmar. The port is situated just a bridge away from Wa State (佤邦) in Myanmar, where the local Wa ethnic communities maintain a long tradition of intermarriage and mutual market trade, sharing public resources such as roads and water.

  • Cross-Border Logistics: In 2024, the port handled a cargo volume of 819,000 tons, dealing in products such as minerals and agricultural goods.

  • Border Trade: The port’s border trade reached 380 million RMB in 2024, showing an increase of over 60% year-on-year.

  • Customs Services: The port has implemented innovative customs procedures, such as “advance declaration” and “two-step declaration,” improving the customs clearance time by 1.91% compared to the previous year.

In 2024, the port achieved several milestones:

  • First Export Processing Business: It successfully completed Yunnan’s (云南) first export processing business for chemical products, including deep processing of products like konjac (魔芋) and sugarcane (甘蔗).

  • Diversified Trade Goods: The port expanded its trade offerings, including the import of Myanmar’s sand ginger (缅甸砂仁) and other medicinal and food products.

Yonghe Border Port (永和口岸) continues to upgrade its infrastructure:

  • Commercial and Service Facilities: The Comprehensive Business Service Center (商贸综合服务中心) and Commercial Complex (商业综合体) are set to be completed by 2025.

  • Marble Manufacturing Base (大理石智能制造基地): The marble intelligent manufacturing base has completed its first-phase trial operation.
