Location & Overview
On the north shore of Changqiao Lake, Yongning Village borders Bisezhai Village (Caoba Town) to the east, Yingyue Village (Wenlan Town) to the south, Renhou Village (Guanlan Subdistrict) to the west, and Dagouxi Village (Caoba Town) to the north.
The administrative area covers Yongning and Mitangzhai Villages, with 9 village groups over 9.63 km².
Elevation 1,300 m, annual mean temperature 18°C, rainfall 850 mm – ideal for broad beans, chili peppers, pomegranates, tomatoes, and more.


🌸 Ethnic & Cultural Heritage

  • Ethnic Composition – Over 90% are Yi (Nisu subgroup), the birthplace of traditional Yi Hua Deng (Flower Lantern) folk song-and-dance, earning the nickname “Hometown of Yi Hua Deng.”

  • Festivals – Hosts the Torch Festival and other folk celebrations that attract multi-ethnic audiences.
