Crescent Pond Park is strategically located in the main urban area of northern Kunming. It is bordered to the east by the Panlong River (盘龙江) greenbelt, to the west by the upscale Yunkang Garden (云康园) residential area, to the north by the established municipal government community, and to the south by land designated for the Yunnan Normal University (云师大) branch.
