China is the home of tea. According to record Chinese people drink tea may began at Tang Dynasty, already has thousands years of history. The cultural characteristics formed during the tea drinking process are called tea culture. Tea culture include aspects of tea production, tea brewing, tea arts and ceremony, society, history, health, ethics, education, and communication and media issues.  

Yunnan Puer Tea Culture Museum located at Kunming downtown, it is the only provincial-level tea culture professional museum in Yunnan Province. In the museum the main display Yunnan Pu’er Tea, tea set as well as provide visitors with Yunnan Pu’er tea tea, tea culture knowledge and interactive experience.

There are more than 300 kinds of rare and diverse varieties of Pu’er tea collected in Yunnan Tea Culture Museum. Among them, tea category includes 2008 Beijing Olympics exhibits and national tea, Olympic Museum collection tea, 2010 Shanghai World Expo exhibits and national gift tea, Expo Museum Collection Tea, Yunnan Pu’er Tea Traditional Processing Techniques Intangible Cultural Heritage, and raw materials selected from the Qing Dynasty Ancient Tea Garden. The oldest collection of tea can be traced back to the 1960s. In the museum not only have tea, but also there are many items display in the museum that all related about tea, such as tea sets and books. 

The Yunnan Pu’er Tea Culture Museum conducts various types of Yunnan ethnic tea culture exhibitions and experience activities from time to time, including: Yunnan Pu’er Tea Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Experience, Minority Tea Competition and Tea Culture Experience, International Tea Competition and Ancient Tree Tea Free Tasting activities, etc. For citizens and tourists to participate free of charge.
