The Yi ethnic village of Zhuomulang is under the jurisdiction of Dacang Town of Weishan County which is the cradle of the Nanzhao Kingdom (738-937) during the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
As the last tribal site of the royal Yi ethnic group of the Nanzhao Kingdom, it features well-preserved ancient agricultural civilisation, ancient Yi ethnic songs and dances, folk music and traditional costumes.
Tips:
The village is 22 km to the south of Weishan county seat, or 28 km to the north of Dali City (Xiaguan Town). In Xiaguan, bus ride to Weishan County seat is available.
