Route One: Lijiang Suburban Leisure Line

Starting Point: Various intersections in Lijiang urban area (pick – up based on tourists’ locations)

Itinerary: Tourists will be picked up from various intersections or hotels in Lijiang urban area and transported to the base located in the suburbs of Lijiang by shuttle vehicle in about 20 minutes. Upon arrival at the base, tourists will change into riding gear, including racing suits, helmets, gloves, shoe covers, and face towels, and then the coach will conduct vehicle allocation and operation instructions. The riding will begin, and tourists will enjoy a 2 – hour ride through the picturesque Lijiang suburbs. The route will pass through some small rolling hills, pastoral landscapes, and streams, offering a relatively leisurely experience suitable for tourists who want to enjoy the fun of ATV riding while appreciating the surrounding natural scenery. After the ride, tourists will return to the base, take off their gear, change their clothes, and then be transported back to Lijiang urban area by shuttle vehicle.

Highlights: Along the way, tourists can see the unique pastoral scenery of the Lijiang suburbs and experience the tranquil rural atmosphere. The base also features popular camping check – in spots where tourists can enjoy trendy hand – brewed coffee after the ride, participate in singer performances, hand – drum interactions, and fun mini – games. If the ride ends before 2 p.m., tourists can also enjoy a barbecue with five meat dishes and five vegetarian dishes, with the option to share a table or dine independently. Additionally, the base offers a canoeing project, allowing tourists to play on the calm water surface.
Route Two: Deep – Mountain Adventure Line

Starting Point: Same as Route One, with pick – up from various intersections in Lijiang urban area.

Itinerary: After a 50 – minute drive, tourists will arrive at the base located in the mountains. At the base, tourists will complete the process of changing clothes, collecting gear, and learning the operation before embarking on a 2 – hour ride covering approximately 30 kilometers of mountain – crossing terrain. The route will go through forests, rugged mountain paths, and muddy trails, as well as pass by natural lakes. Tourists can fully experience the thrill of driving an ATV in complex terrain and feel the raw charm of nature. Upon reaching the lakeside campsite in the mountains, tourists can participate in camp activities such as canoeing on the natural lake, experiencing a 12 – meter – high swing, and enjoying a unique musical atmosphere at the African drum experience camp. The morning session offers outdoor cooking barbecues, while the afternoon session provides coffee and snacks. Afterward, tourists will ride back down the mountain, return to the base, change their clothes, and then be transported back to Lijiang urban area by vehicle.

III. Suitable Weather

Best Seasons: Spring (March – May) and Autumn (September – November) are the best seasons for riding. The weather is mild and temperate during these times, neither too hot nor too cold. In spring, everything is rejuvenated, and tourists can see various blooming flowers along the way. In autumn, the changing colors of the leaves in the mountains create a picturesque scene.

Summer (June – August): Although the temperature is higher in summer, the mountains are relatively cool, and the vegetation is the most lush, making the entire riding route a sea of green. However, summer is the rainy season in Lijiang, and tourists may encounter rainy weather. Fortunately, ATV riding can go on regardless of the weather, and the bases will provide corresponding rain gear for tourists. Riding in the rain can add a unique kind of fun, but tourists need to pay more attention to safety and follow the coach’s instructions during the ride.

Winter (December – February): Lijiang’s winter is relatively dry with mostly sunny days and plenty of sunshine. The fee includes round – trip transportation from various intersections or hotels in Lijiang urban area, riding insurance, racing suits, helmets, gloves, shoe covers, face towels, trendy hand – brewed coffee, full – process photography, one barbecue meal (not provided after 2 p.m.), toiletries, trendy camping check – in spots and related entertainment activities, canoeing projects, and a 2 – hour riding fee. Additional voluntary single – order beverages are not included to ensure no hidden costs.

Route Two Cost: Similarly, it offers high cost – effectiveness, and details can be inquired about. The fee covers round – trip transportation, riding insurance, racing suits, helmets, veils, shoe covers, gloves, mountain – crossing riding (about 30 kilometers, around 2 hours), a 12 – meter – high swing, canoeing interaction on natural lakes, African drum experience camp, full – process photo and video capture, one – on – one coaching services for inexperienced riders and children, lakeside trendy campsite (morning barbecue, afternoon coffee and snacks). Except for additional voluntary single – order beverages, there are no other hidden charges.

V. Food and Accommodation
Route One Camp Food and Accommodation

If tourists arrive or finish the ride after 2 p.m., the barbecue is not provided, but tourists can still enjoy trendy hand – brewed coffee at the base.

For a unique accommodation experience, some inns in Baisha Old Town offer view rooms where tourists can admire the beautiful scenery of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from their rooms. These rooms are relatively expensive, with prices ranging from 500 – 1500 yuan per night. There are also regular inns with more affordable prices, around 150 – 400 yuan per night.
VI. Transportation

Shuttle Service: Both bases offer convenient shuttle services, picking up tourists from the nearest intersections or hotels in Lijiang urban area and safely transporting them to the base. It takes only 20 minutes to get from Lijiang to the base for Route One, while Route Two requires 50 minutes. After the journey, tourists will also be dropped off at their original pick – up locations.

Self – driving Tour: If tourists choose to drive themselves, the base for Route One is located in the suburbs of Lijiang. Starting from Lijiang urban area, follow the navigation instructions and drive along the well – maintained roads for about 20 minutes to reach the destination. The base for Route Two is in the mountains, and although the distance is farther, the road signs are clear. It takes about 50 minutes to get there from Lijiang urban area. The price for self – driving tourists is the same as for those using the shuttle service. During the self – driving process, pay attention to mountain driving safety, control your speed, and drive cautiously, especially around bends.
