Dali Transportation – By Air
There is one airport in Dali, namely, Dali Airport. Dali Airport, also known as Dali Huangcaoba Airport is located at the junction of Fengyi Town and Haidong Township, 12 kilometers from the downtown of Dali. The airport has flights to Kunming, Xishuangbanna, Tengchong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other places. There are flights from Dali to Kunming every day with the time for sailing of about 40 minutes.
Dali Airport
Dali Airport (Dali Airport, ICAO: ZPDL, IATA: DLU) is an airport located in Dali City, Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is located on the southeastern coast of Erhai Lake, bordering on the mountains in the east, Erhai Lake in the west, and Cangshan Mountain in the west. It is away from 13 kilometers east of Dali City-the charming city, with a total area of 3,539 mu. The State Council of the People’s Republic of China and Central Military Committee approved the construction of Dali Airport on August 2, 1992. And it was officially opened on November 28, 1995. The reconstruction and expansion project was carried out in 2007. The expansion project was officially completed in 2009 and put into use. The Dali Airport Terminal is covered with an area of 10,050 square meters. Dali Airport is an important regional airport and tourist airport with 3 boarding bridges, 10 parking aprons.

There are two shuttle buses on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, the one starts at 7:00 am and the other is at 11:00 am. Three shuttle buses are available on every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The departure time is 7:00 am, 9:00 am and 12 am. Taxi is the most convenient transportation to get to the downtown of Dali. There are taxis to Xiaguan and Dali Ancient Town at the price of 50 and 90 Yuan.
