The village was originally named Huangtu Po and was renamed Fu’an after the chaos of the late Ming Dynasty, symbolizing “peace and contentment in living”.

In 2013, it was recognized as one of China’s Traditional Villages by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

The village features traditional buildings such as Beimin Temple (built in the 10th year of the Yongzheng reign) and Guan Sheng Palace (built in the 14th year of the Guangxu reign). These structures, built during the Qing Dynasty, are well-preserved and hold significant historical and artistic value.
