Scale and Architecture
Hongshagou Mosque covers about 1 acre of land with a building area of 680 square meters. The main entrance features sandstone pillars and iron gates inscribed with “Hongshagou Mosque.” There are couplets on both sides of the gate: “Allah creates all things with great respect, and the light of the Prophet Muhammad shines over the world.” The main prayer hall is a brick and wood structured Hui-style architecture, spanning 3 rooms with an area of 75 square meters. Above the central door of the hall hangs a plaque reading “The Holy Path is Bright and Prosperous,” with ample light and a clean and orderly interior.
Community and Cooperation
Currently, the mosque has 1 Imam, 8 religious assistants (Mullahs), and 5 Quranic teachers. It serves 48 households totaling 212 people, all belonging to the Hui ethnic group.
