Being around 350 kilometers from Kunming（昆明）, the Dali Ancient Town（大理古城） covers an area of 3 square kilometers. It is located in western region of Yunnan, of whose history can be traced back to 1382 AD. The town had been the Yunnan’s center of politics, economy and culture throughout the history of the dynasties of Tang and Song for more than 500 years. 14 major culture relic protection sites are distributed across the town itself, which embody Dali’s culture in history, religion and minority.
