Lhasa – Shangrila Flights
Located at 3,650 meters above sea level on the northern slopes of the Himalayas, Lhasa, the religious and administrative capital of the Tibet, has a history of over 1,300 years old. It is one of the highest cities in the world. Shangrila, located in the intersection of Tibet, Sichuan and Yunnan, has Tibetan as the main minority ethnic group.
There are three nonstop flights from Lhasa to Shangrila every day separately operated by Tibet Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines. It normally takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes from Lhasa to Shangrila and 2 hours and 20 minutes from Shangrila to Lhasa. The ticket fare of the flight during peak travel season, from July to September, is usually higher.
