At present, there are many direct flights available everyday from Thailand to Yunnan (云南), Tourists can get to the capital of Yunnan province, Kunming City very easily from Thailand. Bangkok – Kunming Travel by Flight

All the flights flying from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Kunming Changshui International Airport are direct flights. Most of them are daily flights, 8L802 is available on everyday except Tuesday. These flights were mainly provided by Kunming Airlines, Thai AirAsia, Lucky Air, Thai Airways International and China Eastern Airlines. Some flights will change in different months, the following is only for your reference. Discount tickets are available. (All departure/arrival times are local time)

Suvarnabhumi Airport
It is one of two international airports serving Bangkok, Thailand.  Suvarnabhumi covers an area of 3,240 ha (32.4 km2; 8,000 acres), making it one of the biggest international airports in Southeast Asia and a regional hub for aviation. The airport is currently the main hub for Thai Airways International, Thai Smile Airways, and Bangkok Airways.

How to Get There: By shuttle bus, subway or taxi
Passengers may take Subway Line 6(CNY6) or NO.903 Bus to the downtown.
Airport buses are also available. Ticket fare: CNY25

Chiang Mai – Kunming Travel by Flight

There are two direct flight — MU2570 and MU2564 flying from Chiang Mai International Airport to Kunming Changshui International Airport, they are also daily flights. These flights were mainly provided by Thai AirAsia, FlexFlight, Lucky Air, Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. W25321 and TG111 are available on Monday,Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The whole journey takes about 1 hour and 35 minutes by direct flights. Some flights will change in different months, the following is only for your reference. Discount tickets are available. (All departure/arrival times are local time)

It is an international airport serving Chiang Mai, the capital city of Chiang Mai Province in Thailand. It is a major gateway to Northern Thailand, and currently the fourth busiest airport in the country.

Chiang Mai – Xishuangbanna Flight Schedules

Everyweek, there will be around 20 flights departing from Chiang Mai International Airport and arriving at Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport, provided by China Eastern Airlines, Ruili Airlines and Xiangpen Airlines. Only one direct flight runs from Xishuangbanna to Chiang Mai on every Wednesday and the rest non-direct flights are available on everyday and stopover at Kunming. The direct flight takes about 1h10m and the non-direct takes about 5 hours to 20 hours. See below detailed flight schedules.

Bangkok – Xishuangbanna Flight Schedule

Everyweek, there will be around 15 flights departing from Suvarnabhumi International Airport and arriving at Xishuangbanna Gasa Airport, provided by China Eastern Airlines, Ruili Airlines, Kunming Airlines, Xiangpen Airlines and Sichuang Airlines. There is no direct flight runs from Bangkok to Xishuangbanna and the non-direct flights are available on everyday and stopover at Kunming. The non-direct takes about 6 hours to 20 hours.
