Luquan Yi and Miao Autonomous County is one of the counties under the jurisdiction of Kunming City, Yunnan Province. It has nine towns and five townships. It is situated in the southwestern end of the county, under the Xiuping Mountain and on the west bank of the Zhangjiu River, at an altitude of 1679 meters.The government of Luquan County is situated in the southwest of the territory.The average altitude is 1679m.The average temperature is 15.6 degrees.The major minerals resources of Luquan County are iron,sulfur and phosphorus.
