Being one of the busiest long distance bus stations in Kunming, Kunming North Bus Station sends more than 600 buses per day with the ridership of approximate 10,000. It has the best transportation with the metro line 2 and many transit bus routes intersecting here. There are quite many people peddling their illegal passenger transportation service near the entrance of Kunming North Bus Station. Please don’t follow them, you should purchase tickets from the ticket window and enter the bus station to take your bus.

Ticketing

For International travelers, you can only purchase your tickets at the ticket window for the online tickets are only sold to Chinese travelers. You can also ask a travel agency like us to book the tickets for you as only you provide the copy of your passport related. If you buy the tickets by yourself, it’s better to write your booking details on a paper note to the sellers since they don’t speak English, which is more convenient and efficient.

Take Bus No. 23 which is available from 6:00 to 23:00 and bus No.25 which is available from 6:00 to 21:30. It takes about 90 minutes with the ticket fare of CNY 2.

Kunming Subway Line 2 is available from 6:20 to 22:10. It takes about 40 minutes with the ticket fare of  CNY 4.
