Lijiang Alpine Botanical Garden is located in the core area of northwestern Yunnan. It is located in the southern valley of Lijiang Yulong Snow Mountain, Hali Valley, near the “Yushuizhai-Yufeng Temple” tourist hotline, 17 kilometers away from Lijiang City. The park has an altitude of 2,600-3,800 meters and is a three-dimensional climate botanical garden. The botanical garden has unique advantages in resources and location advantages. There are more than 2,000 species of wild plants in the park.
In 2000, Lijiang Alpine Botanical Garden completed the demarcation of construction land, and obtained the forest right certificate of 287 hectare of forest land. It is the only alpine and subalpine botanical garden in the world with the highest altitude, rich vegetation types and complete vertical distribution of vegetation. The Botanical Garden relies on the national major scientific project “Southwest China Wildlife Germplasm Resource Library” and the Kunming Branch of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
