Overview:
The Nansan Transnational Cave is located on the border between Nansan Township and Myanmar’s Shan State Special Region 1, specifically in the Kokang region. It is situated 3 kilometers southeast of the national second-class port at Nansan, within the boundary markers 122, 123, 124, and 125. The cave’s boundaries are defined as follows: the east is bordered by Baiyan Village, the south by boundary marker 125, the west by boundary marker 122, and the north by Xigan Gully.
Scenic Area Description:
The cave is located 3 kilometers southeast of Nansan Township, on the China-Myanmar border, covering an area of 6,000 acres. The natural scenery inside the cave is unique and visually striking. The cave extends 2 kilometers into Myanmar’s Shan State Special Region 1, making it the only natural landscape in Yunnan and even the entire country where a cave spans two countries. The area is situated in a border trade special zone with a high concentration of ethnic minorities, offering beautiful natural scenery, rich ethnic customs, and vibrant border trade activities. It is a highly distinctive and attractive destination.
