Travel to Nujiang prefecture from Kunming by long distance bus is popular among tourists. Located in West of Yunnan, Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture(怒江傈僳族自治州) got its name from Nujiang River(怒江) that flows through from north to south. It is the only autonomous prefecture of Lisu ethnic minority(傈僳族) in China. Among all the ethnic minorities inhabited in Nujiang, Dulong ethnic minority(独龙族) and Nu ethnic minority(怒族) can be only found here. Nujiang Prefecture lies about 542 km away from Kunming City. Tourists can get to Nujiang prefecture from Kunming very easily by long distance buses.
